Are you CRAZY (Busy)?

Over the past few years Ive been hearing the phrase “Crazy Busy” more and more.
Ive heard the phrase used both as an excuse for not following through on tasks and as a (sick) status symbol.

Here is an example of how this usually goes.

You run into that friend you haven’t seen around much (especially since) their new house, new car & “dream” Job came around. (sarcasm)
(You)

(Hey _______ (fill in the blank with friends name)
Been thinking of you!
How are you?! …. Its been a long time since we connected for a coffee and some conversation.
I miss you!
(The friend)
Yea, Dude, I got like no time…”Its been” CRAZY ” lately …Im “Crazy Busy”
(Friend looks exhausted, worn out and ready to snap).

Lets look at what this really means by (dictionary) DEFINITION shall we?

Busy:
1
. Actively and attentively engaged in work or a pastime
2.Not at leisure; otherwise engaged.
3. Full of or characterized by activity.
Crazy:

1. Mentally deranged; demented; insane.
2.
Senseless; impractical; totally unsound.

You got issues… dude.

When you say your “Crazy Busy”
your actually saying…

“Im actively and attentively engaged in work, not at leisure and full of activity
(at a level that is)
Insane, demented, senseless, impractical, totally unsound (and Im acting) mentally deranged.

This actually means that most of my current friends I no longer see anymore are senseless, totally impractical and
mentally deranged?

PERFECT.

Screw it. Im DONE.
Im going to get a coffee.
Maybe I can have a meaningful conversation with a “sane” person at the coffee shop?

Peace
Scott
